Meet our Associate Pastor Victoria Lasley. She joined the Fairview Moravian staff in July of 2017 as a newly ordained Pastor. Pastor Victoria focuses on Outreach and Family Ministries. Pastor Victoria is a Salem College graduate and a graduate of Wake Forest University. She has been a Demon Deacon all her life. Football is one of her favorite sports to watch especially the Dallas Cowboys. She enjoys camping with her family, missing free throws during the Laurel Ridge Senior High Camp Staff v. Camper basketball game, fishing, snow skiing out west, and yoga. In 2015, Pastor Victoria got married to her husband Jim. They are expecting their first child in May of 2018 and have two dogs Patches and Mae.
Words from Pastor Victoria about her time at Fairview:
“I am so excited to be back at Fairview for my first call. During my time in Divinity School, my internship at Fairview opened my eyes to the various ways I can serve the Lord through Bi-Vocational ministry. I am serving as the Associate Pastor of Fairview Moravian and as a Cosmetologist at Mickey and Co. Hair Designs in King, NC. I am thankful to serve in both settings which offer various ministry opportunities. The Fairview Moravian family has been more than supportive of me as I have begun serving as their Pastor. I could not be more thankful for their willingness to try new things, step out a little further in areas that are different or new to them, and their desire to have deep conversations about how we can better serve our community as Christ servants. Since July I have watched the Spirit move through this congregation in ways I cannot describe. My love for Outreach and Family Ministries would not be possible without the dedication and support of the congregation. Jim and I are overwhelmed by the warm welcome and love that has been extended to us as our journey in ministry has begun. I am humbled by the opportunity to serve the Lord through the work of Fairview Moravian as their Associate Pastor. If you are visiting us at Fairview for the first time or a regular visitor, you may even be a member, I hope you will experience the same authentic and warm welcome into the Lord’s house as we have by the congregation. I look forward to meeting you and seeing you soon!”
Peace in Christ,
Rev. Victoria Lasley
